First, I had to remember how to breathe. Then, I had to learn how to survive. Two years, three months and sixteen days had passed since I was the Rowe Stanton from before, since tragedy stole my youth and my heart went along with it.

When I left for college, I put a thousand miles between my future and my past. I’d made a choice—I was going to cross back to the other side, to live with the living. I just didn’t know how.

And then I met Nate Preeter.

An All-American baseball player, Nate wasn’t supposed to notice a ghost-of-a-girl like me. But he did. He shouldn’t want to know my name. But he did. And when he learned my secret and saw the scars it left behind, he was supposed to run. But he didn’t.

My heart was dead, and I was never supposed to belong to anyone. But Nate Preeter had me feeling, and he made me want to be his. He showed me everything I was missing.

And then he showed me how to fall. (from goodreads.com)

I loved Nate. I seem to be on a string on books that have sensitive heroes as opposed to the alpha heroes often found in new adult. Its a nice change. Nate seems normal-he is caring, honest, and driven. His brother is awesome! Seriously, I can’t wait to read book 2 about Ty and Cass’s relationship.

This book is emotional. There are some dark themes related to what happened in Rowe’s past. By the end, I was crying. Seriously, so much emotion (but it was good!). Y’all know I need my HEA or I won’t read the book!

This book is sweet. Its nice to read a book that is a sweet, simple romantic story! I love that sometimes as a break from the angst and drama of some new adult books.

First off, I hated the name Rowe. I know that seems like a weird thing, but it really annoyed me. Sometimes I feel like authors try too hard to make their characters unique with weird names. Its really annoying!

I also found it hard to like Rowe frequently. She had a trauma in her past but she really seemed to NOT be dealing with it at all. It had been 2 years since the event and she seemed to still be unable to function. I tend to prefer my heroines to be a little stronger than her.
