How do you fix a love that’s been broken beyond repair?
For years, Cassie Taylor tried to forget about Ethan Holt. He was the one great love of her life, and when he failed to return her love, a part of her died forever. Or so she thought. Now she and Ethan are sharing a Broadway stage, and he’s determined to win her back. Claiming to be a changed man, he’s finally able to say all the things she needed to hear years ago, but can she believe him? What makes this time different from all his other broken promises?
Ethan knows he can’t change their tumultuous past, but if he’s going to have any chance of being with the woman he loves, he’ll need to convince Cassie that her future belongs with him. (from Goodreads)
I snagged Bad Romeo one day just on a whim. I read it that very same day because I couldn’t put it down. I have been eagerly awaiting the release of Broken Juliet. Yet, the day it came out, I found I couldn’t make myself read it. I loved Ethan and Cassie so much that if they weren’t able to work things out and find their happy ending, I would be Broken Samantha. So, fear kept me from reading. Which is ironic since fear is a big theme in the book! But, I finally faced my fear and read the book. Leisa Rayven’s writing is amazing. She uses words perfectly-she can switch back and forth between beautiful, pensive prose to crass cursing with an easy that is remarkable! And she has managed to make me care about these 2 characters so much I couldn’t stand the thought of them not getting their happily ever after. I can’t explain to you how much I loved this series. I have never been a big fan of telling a story in alternating present day/flashback style but Leisa Rayven made me love it. You are never confused about whether an event is happening now or 6 years ago; she moved between the two with organization that simply makes the story flow. Seriously, why are you still reading this? Go get Bad Romeo and Broken Juliet now!
What I didn’t love…
