Review: Love on the Ledge

Title: Love on the Ledge

Author: Zoraida Cordova

Genre: New Adult, Romance

Rating: 5 stars

What its about:

Sky finds out her boyfriend of 3 years is cheating on her. So, she quits her job, packs up her stuff and heads to her uncles house in the Hamptons for a summer of reflection and planning her Uncle Pepe’s wedding. While dealing with her overly involved Ecuadorian family, dodging an overly cocky suitor, trying to get her ex to understand she never wants to get back together, and continuous wedding disasters, she meets sexy handy man Hayden, who literally falls from the sky! Can Sky survive this summer and find what it is she is looking for?

What I loved:

This book is funny and endearing. Anyone who has an overly intrusive family will understand immediately and be able to see the love and humor in their actions. I love that Sky was not perfect and she was accepting of her confusion in her life. She didn’t try to pretend she was perfect; she knew she was lost and that her life hadn’t turned out like she expected. She is, very realistically, trying to figure out what to do when you realize your life isn’t going the way you wanted it to. Anyone who has lived through their 20’s can relate. If you haven’t lived through your 20’s yet, read this so when it happens to you, you realize its okay and you will make it! I loved Hayden as well. I loved the fact that he was NOT an alpha male at all. Don’t get me wrong-I like the alphas sometimes. It was just so nice to read a new adult book that DIDN’T have an alpha! Such a nice change.

What I didn’t love:

Honestly, not much. Occasionally I felt some of the lines were a bit cheesy but they are few and far between and the rest of the book is so good its easy to over look.
